My name is Zulnurain Ahmad and I am a kindergarten teacher at Gobind Sarvar School Calgary. I became interested in teaching when I first met my daughter’s preschool teacher. Early Years is my passion and I am always looking for ways to make my students be the best that they can be.

Hello! My name is Ms. Harrang and this is my second-year teaching at Gobind Sarvar. I graduated from University of Calgary with specializing in early childhood B.Ed. and Sociology degree. I love facilitating and watching young minds grow into wonderful readers, writer, Global citizens, mathematicians, scientists, artists; whatever their passion is. I strongly believe in human beings as a one nation. No matter what grade I teach, I always guide my students to love one another without seeing any difference amongst us. Moreover, I love being in nature therefore I let nature to be the first teacher for my kindergarteners. My goal is to always create a fun and safe learning environment for children, and get them ready for grade 1! I Feel blessed to be at Gobind Sarvar where student centered environment really helps our students grow to be tomorrow’s guides.

I’m looking forward to learning and growing with the community of Gobind Sarvar. Thank you all for the opportunity.

Teaching is my chosen calling and I believe in teaching with passion to be effective. At Gobind Sarvar I believe in getting students involved in their learning by being inventive with my teaching methods and using various active learning techniques in my classroom. I have had a wonderful and successful year teaching Math and Science to students of grade 6 & 7.

I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, but spent half of my childhood and most of my teaching career in Regina. While my background is in history, social studies, psychology and law, I taught several years working with students in grade seven and eight. I have had an extensive coaching history having coached basketball for community, high school, university and provincial organizations and soccer at various levels. After leaving Regina, I held many positions at the Canadian International in Abu Dhabi. My last position was as the principal of a grade seven to twelve school in British Columbia teaching and running the school.
Last year I had the good fortune to be a guest teacher at Gobind Sarvar school. This is where I met a wonderful group of students and a very caring and hard-working staff.
Teaching provides the opportunity to promote respect for all things and people. In addition to working collaboratively with a great team of students, staff and parents, I look forward to sharing my passion for education in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
