Gobind Sarvar (Sikh faith based school) is looking to hire a qualified, dynamic, diversified, and passionate individual to teach Kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year.

Our Mission: Providing a nurturing student-centered environment, encouraging inquisitive thinking, self-exploration and holistic growth.

Our goals at Gobind Sarvar are to:

Qualifications and Responsibilities applicants are required to have include:

  • a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education
  • have an understanding of different teaching methodologies and multiple intelligences
  • teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students
  • be adaptable and flexible in a supportive learning environment
  • be committed to working as a team member in a collaborative setting
  • have strong communication and classroom management skills
  • be committed to professional development

The following are a part of school values and beliefs:

  • Teachers are required to cover their heads with a bandana while on school property, field trips and professional development days.
  • Teachers are required to bring vegetarian snacks and lunches (no meat, egg or fish) while on school premises and during school hours.
